Accomplishments

Raised over $90,000 in 6yrs through fundraisers, Amazon Smile Donations, Facebook Donations, and private donations.

 

Assist families with utility bills, groceries, and meals.

 

Donated $10,000 to Dr. Suzanne MacFarland’s of Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Polyposis Research in memory of Emiliana and Tim.

 

Donated $15,000 to Dr. Brian Crompton of Dana Farber Institute Liquid Biopsy Technologies Research in memory of Emiliana and Tim.

 

Donated 50 Kindle fires to pediatric cancer patients going thru treatment at Monmouth Medical, Robert Wood Johnson, and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

 

Donate gold ribbons & lawn signs to Berkeley Township Residents and Schools so they can be displayed during September in honor of all children battling cancer. 

 

Established the Emiliana O'Brien Memorial Scholarship. This monetary award is given to a Central Regional Middle School graduate based on a written essay on how the student exemplifies kindness in their everyday lives. A plaque for Emiliana is at the Memorial Garden at Central Regional Middle School.

 

Held Sibling Day event focused on the siblings of children with childhood cancer which included paint party, face painting, free play, yoga.

 

Heidi Daus designs “Sparkle Strong” Childhood Cancer Awareness Pin inspired by Emiliana. The pin debuted on HSN in November 2016 and sold out in 3 minutes.

 

Receive Annual Proclamations by Berkeley Township to ‘Wrap the Town in Gold’ in September for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. September 17th is designated as Emiliana Day. 7’ wooden gold ribbons and signs are placed throughout town.

 

Berkeley Township School District displays gold bows in all of the schools and holds an annual Lemonade Sale/ Jeans Day fundraiser during September.
