Timeline
May 2016 – We applied for our 501c3 status and trademark filed. We also held our first official board meeting.
May 2016 – We made a donation of make up products from Cosonova to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. There were over 150 gift bags donated.
June 2016 – There was a Memorial Garden Dedication at Central regional Middle School in Em’s honor where there is a stone and a beach house bird house in the front of the school.
June 2016 – We presented the 1st Annual Emiliana O'Brien Memorial Scholarship to a lucky recipient. The recipient received a plaque and monetary award.
July 2016 – Heidi Daus Announces “Sparkle Strong” Childhood Cancer Awareness Pin inspired by Emiliana.
August 2016 – We held our 1st fundraiser- Millie Mentor Day fundraiser at the Bayville VFW.
August 2016 – We are officially a 501c3 nonprofit.
September 2016 – We were granted a Proclamation by town to wrap the town in Gold in September for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
September 2016 – We held our 2nd fundraiser- Golf Fore a Cause at the Cedar Creek Golf Course in Bayville followed by a luncheon at the Water’s Edge Restaurant.
September 2016 – We started helping families with financial assistance.
October 2016 – registered with Amazon Smile to accept donations.
October 2016 – registered with Guidestar.
November 2016 – Sparkle strong airs on HSN and sells out in less than 3 minutes.
November 2016 – Purchased 50 Kindle fires to be donated to pediatric cancer kids going thru treatment at Monmouth Medical, Robert Wood, and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
